1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using the Vaultium application, or by purchasing Vaultium physical devices, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use our products or services.

3. Description of Service

Vaultium is a two-factor authentication (2FA) application that:

  • Stores TOTP secrets locally on your device in an AES-256 encrypted database.
  • Requires a physical Vaultium NFC device to unlock the encrypted vault.
  • Operates entirely offline with no internet connectivity.
  • Uses the device camera solely for scanning QR codes when adding accounts.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Vaultium. By using our services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Safeguarding your Vaultium physical devices (primary and backup).
  • Securely storing your 24-word recovery phrase.
  • Maintaining the security of the device on which the app is installed.
  • Creating and maintaining encrypted backups of your vault data.

We have no access to your encryption keys, TOTP secrets, or vault data. If you lose all Vaultium devices and your recovery phrase, your data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

6. Physical Devices

  • Each Vaultium package includes a primary device and a backup device.
  • Devices are shipped from within the European Union.
  • Delivery times vary by destination and are estimates only.
  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.

7. Returns and Refunds

  • Unopened and unused devices may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.
  • Once a device has been paired with the app (i.e., provisioned with an encryption key), it cannot be returned for security reasons.
  • Defective devices will be replaced at no additional cost. Contact support@vaultium.io with your order details.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

8. Intellectual Property

The Vaultium app, website, branding, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of Webito Future Tech s.r.o. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our products except as permitted by applicable law.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app beyond what is permitted by law.
  • Attempt to extract cryptographic keys or circumvent security measures.
  • Use the app or devices for any unlawful purpose.
  • Resell or redistribute Vaultium devices without authorization.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Vaultium app and devices are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any loss of 2FA codes, account lockouts, or data loss resulting from lost devices, forgotten recovery phrases, or device malfunction.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Vaultium products in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.

13. Termination

You may stop using Vaultium at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or services at any time with reasonable notice. Your locally stored data remains yours regardless of termination.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Prague, Czech Republic.

EU consumers retain the right to bring claims in their country of residence. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
